Notice of Adoption of Revised Rule:

The version 14.0 documents incorporate all changes proposed in v13.0 as described and provided in the previous news item below from May 7, 2018.  The version 14.0 documents above become effective August 30, 2018 and will then supersede all previously adopted versions.

Notice of Proposed Revised Rule:

The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) announced a Notice of Proposed Revised Rules and 30-day public comment period for: Minnesota Uniform Companion Guide for the Implementation of the ASC X12/005010X222A1 Health Care Claim: Professional (837), version 13.0; and Minnesota Uniform Companion Guide for the Implementation of the ASC X12/005010X223A2 Health Care Claim: Institutional (837), version 13.0.

Notice of Adoption of Revised Rule:

The Minnesota Department of Health announced adoption into rule of revised Minnesota Uniform Companion Guide for the Implementation of the ASC X12N/005010X279A1 Health Care Eligibility Benefit Inquiry and Response (270/2710), version 12.0

The primary revision in the v12.0 rule is a clarification of instructions related to compliance with the CAQH-CORE Phase II Operating Rule 260.

This v12.0 companion guide rule is effective April 25, 2018. For more information, please see the Minnesota State Register (pages 1151-1152).

The Minnesota Department of Health announced that a Limited Exception for Non-HIPAA Payers from Minnesota’s Requirements for Only the Standard, Electronic Exchange of Eligibility Transactions (270-271) is Continued For 2018.

Notice of Proposed Revised Rule:

The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) announced a proposed revised companion guide rule for the Eligibility Inquiry and Response (270-271) transaction and a 30-day period to submit public comments regarding the proposed revisions. The primary proposed revision is a clarification of instructions related to compliance with the CAQH-CORE Phase II Operating Rule 260.
