Minnesota Administrative Uniformity Committee
The Minnesota Administrative Uniformity Committee (AUC) is a voluntary, broad-based group representing Minnesota health care public and private payers, hospitals, health care providers and state agencies, working to standardize, streamline, and simplify health care administrative processes.
Administrative Simplification in Minnesota
As part of the of the Health Care Administrative Simplification Act (ASA) of 1994, the Minnesota Department of Health's (MDH) Office of Health Information Technology (OHIT) develops and implements rules (i.e., Minnesota uniform companion guides) for the standard, electronic exchange of health care administrative transactions pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 62J.536 and related rules. This work is being undertaken in consultation with the AUC.

The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) announces Notice of Adoption of the following Revised Rules
The version 14.0 documents above incorporate all changes proposed in v13.0 as described and provided in the previous news item below from May 7, 2018. The version 14.0 documents above become effective August 30, 2018 and will then supersede all previously adopted versions.

The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) announces Notice of Proposed Revised Rules and 30-day public comment period for: Minnesota Uniform Companion Guide for the Implementation of the ASC X12/005010X222A1 Health Care Claim: Professional (837), version 13.0; and Minnesota Uniform Companion Guide for the Implementation of the ASC X12/005010X223A2 Health Care Claim: Institutional (837), version 13.0.
