Providers, group purchasers, and clearinghouses that are licensed or doing business in Minnesota must comply with version 5010 and D.0 of these rules by January 1, 2012. Version 4010 of the Minnesota Uniform Companion Guides was discontinued as of December 31, 2011. Minnesota AUC best practices are consensus recommendations of the AUC to standardize and harmonize health care administrative transactions. The best practices supplement the guides. Adoption or adherence to the best practices is voluntary, but is strongly encouraged to further reduce health care administrative burdens and costs.
