Surveillance and Data Review

Purpose

Established in 1994, the Minnesota Diabetes Surveillance and Data Review (SDR) is a subcommittee of the Minnesota Diabetes Steering Committee. The group is composed of volunteer experts in diabetes, surveillance, epidemiology, health services research, translational research, and evaluation who provide guidance to the MDP’s surveillance work. The SDR serves to:

• Advise the MDP’s surveillance activities
  
• Identify existing diabetes data sources and recommend new diabetes data sources for development
  
• Review and interpret surveillance results
  
• Advise MDP on projects by reviewing and interpreting evaluation methodologies and results
  
• Identify areas for further investigation
  
• Facilitate collaboration
