PANEL DISCUSSION
Using the Minnesota Diabetes Plan 2010 to Guide Diabetes Prevention
Moderator - Allison Rick, MPH, Minnesota Diabetes Program, Minnesota Department of Health
The purpose of this panel discussion is to bring together the diverse perspectives of several of today’s Minnesota-based presenters, and engage them in a conversation on the relationship of their work to the Minnesota Diabetes Plan 2010. Each panelist was asked to respond to several predetermined questions designed to help the conference participants gain basic information about the Plan and learn how a wide variety of programs and activities have the power to make a difference in reducing the burden of diabetes in Minnesota. The second half of the panel discussion was devoted to audience participation. Audience members will be asked to share their own program activities that are helping to achieve the goals of the Plan. Time was also allotted for a question and answer session with the panelists.
