Positive Alternatives Grant Application
2012-2016 Grant Application
Recently passed legislation has amended the eligibility for grants section of M.S. 145.4235, the Positive Alternatives statute. Under the new language, eligible organizations will now be required to have had an alternatives–to–abortion program in existence for at least one year as of July 1, 2011. This is a change from the previous legislation requiring that a program be in existence at least one year prior to 2005. Consequently, the January 26, 2012 Positive Alternatives application has been nullified and a new application has been posted below. Each applicant to the January 26, 2012 RFP is being given the option of having its application returned or having the application retained as a response to the re–issued RFP.
A completed application must include the Grant Application and the Application Face Sheet.
- Positive Alternatives 2012-16 Grant Application (MS Word: 323KB/58 pages)
- Application Face Sheet
The completed Application Face Sheet must be printed out and included with your Grant Application. You must also e-mail an electronic copy of the Face Sheet to Mary Pat Egan at firstname.lastname@example.org. Excel is the preferred method.
For questions regarding this application, see Answers to Grant Application Questions.
MDH will host two optional Web–Ex seminars (Webinars) to review the application materials and answer questions. You do not need to attend a workshop in order to submit an application. You are encouraged to participate if you are new to the Positive Alternatives grant application process or have questions regarding the application. The seminars will be held on:
- Tuesday, April 24, 2012, 1:30–3:30 p.m.
- Thursday, April 26, 2012, 9:30–11:30 a.m.
Applicants are welcome to attend either event. Registration is required. Please send your name, your organization's name, contact phone number, the date of the event you will attend, and your email address to email@example.com. Technical instructions will be provided upon registration. Mary Pat Egan can also be reached at 651–201–3754.
