Student Parent Support Initiative Data
Minnesota’s Student Parent Support Initiative addresses the health and educational needs of college-age expectant and parenting students. Nine Institutions of Higher Education (IHE) were funded by the Pregnancy Assistance Fund, Office of Adolescent Health, United States Department of Health and Human Services, and the Minnesota Department of Health, to provide activities and services to expectant and parenting college and university students. These students are referred to as student parents.
Grantee institutions included one private university, one tribal college, and seven Minnesota State College University (MnSCU) community and technical colleges, and universities.
Data summaries describing the number of students and children served, and the number of students enrolling in the following semester, are available for academic years 2012-2013, 2013-2014 and 2013-2017.
