Malonic acidemia (MAL)


Malonic acidemia (MAL) is an inborn error of metabolism, an inherited condition. Possible symptoms can vary and may include low blood sugar (hypoglycemia), developmental delay, heart problems and/or other potential signs and symptoms. Early detection and prompt and ongoing management may benefit children living with malonic acidemia. Support groups are available to help connect families living with malonic acidemia with others who have experience or expertise with this condition.
