Each county vital records office must report the number of marriage certificates filed within a calendar month to the Minnesota Department of Health. This count signifies the number of certificates for which the ceremony was performed and the paperwork returned for filing.

The local registrar in each county must report the number of civil marriage licenses issued in 2017 to the Minnesota Department of Health. Report the number of licenses for which the full fee was paid and the number of licenses for which the reduced fee was paid. The person reporting the numbers for your office will receive an email confirmation of the data entered. Authority: Minnesota Statutes, section 517.08, subdivision 4.
