Minnesota Statutes, section 144.233 requires the local registrar in each county to collect and report marriage data to the Minnesota Department of Health.
It is the obligation of the local registrar of each county to report monthly to the Minnesota Department of Health the number of marriage certificates filed within a calendar month. This count signifies the number of certificates for which the ceremony was performed and the paperwork returned for filing.
This information must be reported no later than the 10th of the month following the filing of the certificates.
