Deputy Commissioner Daniel L. Pollock
Daniel Pollock was appointed in December 2014 as Deputy Commissioner for the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH).
The MDH Legislative Relations staff, Communications Office, and Legal Office report to him. Pollock coordinates and oversees the activities of all four of the agency's Assistant Commissioners.
The department has approximately 1,400 employees in the Twin Cities area and seven offices in Greater Minnesota.
Pollock is an attorney with eight years of experience in improving Minnesota's public health and health care systems in both the legislative and executive branches of state government.
Pollock earned his bachelor's degree from Dartmouth College and his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center.
