Online Asbestos-Related Work Notification
Asbestos Contractors may now notify the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) of their regulated asbestos projects through the Internet. They may also now submit amendments to their original notifications. Consultants conducting air monitoring may also notify MDH with this system as well.
IMPORTANT: MDH regulations require that notification and permit fees be received by MDH five calendar days prior to beginning of any asbestos-related work project. If there are any issues with payment through US Bank's website, the contractor's computer crashing, MDH's servers being down for maintenance, etc. it is still the contractor's responsibility to ensure that these regulations are complied with.
If you do not receive a permit before the start date of your project, contact MDH at 651-201-4620 for guidance. Do not begin your project before you receive your permit. It is a violation of Minnesota Rules, part 4620.3435 item A to conduct an asbestos project without a permit posted at the worksite.
