The Minnesota County Well Index Online HELP



Well and Boring Record

This report is a facsimile of the Well and Boring Record, submitted to the Minnesota Department of Health by the driller. It is also referred to as a Well Log, Well Log Report, Driller's Log, or Well Driller's Log.

The report includes locational information:
  • county,
  • public land survey description,
  • address,
  • identification (the owner's name),
  • use and construction information, and
  • a log describing the geologic materials drilled through.


To view a Well and Boring Record report use:
  • Unique Number search under Search Database
  • Identify Well under Map Tools

Stratigraphy Report

This report displays the geologic information available for a well record. This includes the geological material description, from and to depths in feet, thickness in feet, elevation in feet, and the interpreted geology. Also provided is Information on the field verified well location.

  • Township, Range and Section (Search Database)
  • Search Near Address
  • Select Wells (Map Tools)
