Indoor Motorsports Arenas

In addition to regulating air quality in ice arenas, the Minnesota Department of Health regulates air quality in enclosed sports arenas when other internal combustion engines are being used. Enclosed sports arenas hosting events involving indoor go-carts, monster trucks, motorcycles and snowmobiles are required to obtain a certificate for the indoor use of these engines. Minnesota Rules, Chapter 4620.4700 specifically addresses the use of internal combustion engines (other than ice resurfacers) in enclosed sports arenas.
