Health-Based Guidance Review History
The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) conducts reviews of information on a chemical's toxicity to determine if a health-based guidance value for groundwater, air or other environmental media can be developed or updated. In March 2009, MDH began to post chemicals for which reviews were initiated, see Chemicals Under Review. Upon completion of review the chemical is removed from the Chemical Under Review table and placed on the Air Values Table or Water Guidance Table as appropriate.
The following table provides the date the chemical was posted for review on the Chemicals Under Review table and when Guidance was posted on the Air Values or Water Guidance Tables. For more information, contact the Health Risk Assessment Unit.

2The date the 2008 Health-Based Values and summary sheet memo were posted on-line. In preparation for rulemaking, a literature search and re-evaluation was conducted to ensure the guidance values of PFBA incorporated the most currently available information.
3 This chemical was included in the 2011 HRL rule amendments and the HBV guidance was reposted as HRL guidance on March 21, 2011 when these rules went into effect.
