Minnesota Environmental Public Health Tracking System

Environmental public health tracking may be used to:

• Recognize disease patterns and impacts
• Evaluate trends over time
• Identify populations most affected or most vulnerable
• Identify opportunities for research and/or public health interventions to reduce exposures to potential environmental health hazards

The Minnesota Environmental Public Health Tracking System (MN EPHT) is an environmental public health tracking program designed for Minnesota and to be compatible with the Center for Disease Control's National Environmental Public Health Tracking (EPHT) Network.

MN EPHT is collecting and analyzing data about the following hazards, exposures, and outcomes that the national EPHT has identified as priorities:

Over time, MN EPHT will help us with our capacity to understand, respond to and prevent disease in Minnesota – helping guide public action and leading to potential cost savings down the road.
