Public Notice To Replace Water Tower

The city of Enchantment is requesting public comments on the potential historic, archeological, and environmental impact associated with the replacement of the existing water tower.

The current tower was built in 1923, and has reached the end of its useful life. A new 200,000 gallon water tower will be built in Anderson Park. Upon completion of the new tower, the old water tower will be demolished.

The city intends to finance the project with a Drinking Water Revolving Fund loan. The loan will be jointly administered by the Minnesota Department of Health and the Minnesota Public Facilities Authority.

Comments should be submitted to Jane Doe, City Clerk, and must be received by 5:00 PM on (date which is at least 30 days after publication date).


The city of Charm is holding a public meeting and is accepting public comments for the construction of a new public water supply well and pumphouse.

The well is expected to provide 1,000 gallons of water per minute. The site is Lot 3, Block 5, Anderson Addition in Section 2, T120N, R10E, Great Plains Township. The address is 124xx 376th St. West. (An alternative would be to use a map to identify the site.)

Written comments to consider environmental impacts will be accepted through (date which is at least 30 days after date of publication). Submit them to the utilities superintendent at city hall. A public hearing on the well and pumphouse will be held as part of the regular council meeting at 7:00 PM, April 27, 2011 at the city hall council chambers, 335 W. Tuttle St., Charm, MN xxxxx.
