The NonCom Scoop newsletter is targeted to assist the owners and operators of Minnesota’s “noncommunity public water systems” – such as schools, churches, resorts, restaurants and other businesses that have their own water supply – in providing safe drinking water. It includes tips for water system operation, regulatory updates, operator training schedules, and feature stories on noncommunity public water systems.

Protector Logo

The Protector newsletter, which was published from 2000 to 2005, provided news and information for public water systems, consultants, planners, local governments, and others involved in Minnesota’s Source Water Protection programs. Included in the Protector were policy updates, feature stories, suggestions for wellhead protection, and resources for technical assistance. The Protector is no longer published, but past issues are still available. Much of the information that had been in The Protector is now published in the other newsletters, the NonCom Scoop and the Waterline.
