Well Management
Amendments to Minnesota Rules, Chapter 4725

The Minnesota Department of Health has adopted amendments to Minnesota Rules, Chapter 4725, effective August 4, 2008. The rules concern wells and borings. The amendments pertain to general provisions of the rule; licensing, registration and certification; permits and notifications; construction and use; water supply wells; dewatering wells; monitoring wells; vertical heat exchangers; elevator borings; and environmental bore holes.

The amendments are the result of discussions held at district meetings throughout the state, meetings with numerous groups and individuals, and recommendations from contractors, local and state government agencies, and interested persons. We appreciate the comments and suggestions received during this process.
