MDH Home Visitor Training Manual: Minnesota Training Partnership
The Home Visitor Training Manual: Minnesota Training Partnership is a multi-disciplinary, strength-based curriculum designed for experienced as well as inexperienced home visitors. The curriculum covers topics critical to strength-based work with families including:
- History of home visiting.
- Strength-based principles and practices.
- Culture and cultural context.
- Attachment.
- Understanding family systems and family development.
- Early parenting.
Each topic section includes learning objectives, learning activities, individual or group learning exercises, handouts and overheads. A training preparation guide for trainers is also included. Adaptations to the manual may be necessary to meet the needs of your specific program and providers.
