Window Safety and Window Fall Prevention
Window safety is an important issue year-round, but spring and summer are excellent times to share information with parents and caregivers about preventing falls from windows. For instance, window screens are not designed to keep children from falling through them. Keep furniture, or anything children can use for climbing, away from windows. Children may use these objects to climb to an open window and fall.
