Child hears all 8 tones. | Child who does not hear > 1 tones after immediate re-screening. | Schedule re-screening in 14-21 days. If child does not pass re-screen, conduct further evaluation for medical diagnosis and treatment. Consider further audiological testing as appropriate. |

| OTHER | Visual Inspection as a Part of the Physical Exam | Normal appearance of all structures; no observed ear distress or complaints of pain when the pinna or the tissue around the ear is being manipulated. | Any abnormality that has not been previously evaluated. | Further evaluation by primary care provider. |
| ** Note: If tenderness, signs of drainage, or foul odor are present in the child’s ear(s), this is a “No Pass;” do not proceed with audiometric screening. The child should be evaluated by a medical provider. ** | ||||
