Example of Wearing Glasses During Corneal Light Reflex

Please note, in the 2 pictures above, of the same child, you will see in the picture without glasses on that her left eye corneal light reflection is in the outer aspect of her left pupil, and the reflection in her right pupil is centered. Now look at the picture with her glasses on. You will note that both eyes have a symmetrical reflection. This illustrates the importance of keeping the child’s glasses on while administering this screening procedure.
