Example of Wearing Glasses During Observation

Please note, in the 2 pictures above, of the same child, you will see how her left eye is turned in when her glasses are off, but then when her glasses are on, the eyes are straight. This illustrates the importance of keeping the child’s glasses on them as you administer this screening procedure. If this child had not been wearing her glasses, she may have been unnecessarily referred to an eye professional. The goal of screening for her is to determine if the eye glasses are still effective for her.
