The Minnesota Children and Youth with Special Health Needs Information and Assistance Line can link you with agencies in your area that provide the services you need.

The Minnesota Children and Youth with Special Health Needs (MCYSHN) Information and Assistance Line can help you find the right resources to meet special needs. The service is free and confidential. Call weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The Information and Assistance Line is for families, health care providers, public health nurses, teachers, social workers and anyone who needs help identifying and locating resources for children with special health needs. It offers information on services and resources provided by public and private agencies. Both national and state information is available.

WHEN YOU CALL A MCYSHN INFORMATION SPECIALIST WILL:

  • Ask questions regarding the type of assistance you are seeking, the child's condition and where the child and/or family lives.

  • Provide information about resources and services to meet your needs. Contact names, addresses and phone numbers will also be provided.
