As you need help choosing a nursing home, the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid website has materials available that will guide you and your family through the process. The materials include an overall description of the services provided and a check list to help you make a placement decision.

This site is under construction and more information will be added as information is available. The division will eventually have 2 years of survey findings on the site. This will include the prior year's survey findings and the latest findings.

We plan on having complaint information available for nursing homes on complaints that were substantiated. This information will be available by the end of this summer.

We would also appreciate your input on what other types of information would be helpful when making nursing home placement decisions. If the information is available on other sites we will make the appropriate links here to help you find the information. If we have the information we will determine if it can be made available electronically and how quickly this can occur. Or, we will let you know that the information is not available. Your input is needed to help us shape this site so it is helpful for you the consumer.
