Plan Review

    In accordance with the Laws of Minnesota 2013, Article 12, Section 33, the following construction plan review fee schedule has been enacted. In accordance with Minnesota Statute ยง144A.071, the value of the Construction Project Total Estimated Cost should include all costs associated with the project (materials, labor, and soft costs (finance charges, permits, and design)). For the purposes of estimating the value of materials, modular furniture, interior furnishings (including window treatments and privacy curtains), and equipment that are not installed as part of the building’s infrastructure are not considered materials. For example, CT, MRI, or X-ray machines are not considered materials. An air handling unit, exhaust hood, boiler, cooling tower, electrical circuit panel, emergency generator, and generator transfer switch are all considered materials. The total estimated project cost should be entered in the appropriate box at the bottom of the Construction Plan Review Submittal Form.

Requirement for Review of Plumbing Plans and Specifications

Effective June 1, 2009, plumbing plans for licensed health care facilities regulated by the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) must be submitted to the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry (DOLI) for review. For more information on the plumbing plan review requirements, please visit DOLI - Plumbing Plan Review and Inspection Unit or call the Plumbing Plan Review and Inspection Unit's general telephone line at 651-284-5067.
