Heartland Senior Living of Truman will be hosting an MDS class on: Understanding MDS ADL Coding

Wednesday, May 23, 2018, 1:30 p.m. - 3:30p.m., in Truman, MN

This class is intended for: Nursing Assistants, Nurses and other disciplines responsible for coding ADLs on the MDS.

Objectives include:

  • Understand the importance of documenting ADLs accurately
  • Identify the components of each ADL activity
  • Understand the coding definitions of ADL Self-Performance and Support Provided
  • Understand how to correctly apply the Rule of Three (nurses only)

Shirley Chapman Sholom Home East will be hosting an MDS class on: An Overview of MDS Sections C, D, E and Q

Monday, June 18, 2018, 1:00 p.m. - 3:00p.m., in St. Paul, MN

This class is intended for: Nurses, Licensed Social Workers, Social Service Designees, and other disciplines responsible for coding sections C, D, E and Q of the MDS.

Objectives include:

  • Describe the intent of sections C, D, E and Q of the MDS
  • Identify when it is appropriate to complete the Staff Assessments for Mental Status and Resident Mood
  • Identify when Rejection of Care has occurred
  • Apply the coding instructions to accurately code sections C, D, E and Q of the MDS
