Information Bulletin 00-33
Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Programs
New Revised Material--Effective March 25, 2000
Section 4132 Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Programs and Competency Evaluations Programs is revised to reflect statutory changes to §§1819(f)(2) and 1919(f)(2) of the Social Security Act (the Act), and to provide interpretive guidance relative to those changes. Public Law 105-15 revised the Act to permit a waiver of nurse aide training program disapproval in certain nursing homes if the State determines that the facility meets specified exception criteria.
The Minnesota Department of Health implemented the statutory changes to Public Law 105-15, pertaining to titles §§1819(f)(2) and 1919(f)(2) of the Social Security Act regarding Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Programs in 1999 when federal law changes were enacted.
