New Home Health Agency (HHA) Questions and Answers


This Information Bulletin serves to advise you of three new HHA items:

  1. On May 14, 2001, HCFA posted the complete set of HHA Interpretive Guidelines which include current regulations guidance and deficiency tag references. These can be accessed by going to the following web address:

  2. The New Correction Policy for OASIS now allows Home Health Agencies (HHAs) to make their own key field changes. HHAs can still make changes to non- key field items as they did before implementation of this New Correction Policy. The New Correction Policy can now be accessed by going to HCFA'S OASIS Home Page.

  3. HCFA has posted new HHA Questions and Answers at a new web site. This web site can be accessed at:


    Scroll down and Click on the title Questions and Answers. Click on the text of any question and an answer box appears. Click on the Left or Right arrows to the right of the GO button, to move between pages.
