Long Term Care Resident Assessment Instrument User's Manual
Effective August 15, 2003
Purpose:
To provide web-linked resources and information to Nursing Home providers regarding updates to the RAI Manual.
Information:
LTC RAI Manual Update. The December 2002 Long Term Care (LTC) Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) User's Manual for the Minimum Data Set (MDS) Version 2.0 has been updated effective August 15, 2003. It is located on the CMS website at:
http://cms.hhs.gov/medicaid/mds20/man-form.asp
An update file (August Update 2003 (PDF 1.4MB)) describes the changes made to each page in a table format, and contains the revised pages to place directly in the manual.
Updates were made to chapters 1, 2, 3, 5, Appendices A and C. The entire revised chapters and the complete LTC RAI users manual version 2.0 December 2002, can be downloaded as well.
