Implementation of Revised Nursing Home Federal Guidance
Purpose:The purpose of this Information Bulletin is to inform providers and other interested parties that the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) have released new Nursing Home Survey Guidelines for F309. Joint provider, consumer and surveyor training will be provided prior to the implementation of these guidelines by the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) in conjunction with stakeholder groups.
Implementation: May 18, 2009Minnesota Department of Health surveyors and investigators will implement the revised guidance related to F309 Quality of Care effective May 18, 2009.
Joint Training:MDH, in conjunction with Care Providers of Minnesota, Aging Services of Minnesota, The Office of Ombudsman for Long-Term Care, and Eldercare Rights Alliance is sponsoring an educational session via statewide training related to the revised guidance. The training will be held at five locations throughout the state from Monday, May 11, 2009 through Friday, May 15, 2009. Individuals interested in attending must register.
