Tool: Federal Long Term Care Reportability for Abuse Under F225 Resident to Resident Altercations
The purpose of this informational bulletin is to provide a tool for reporting alleged incidents of resident to resident abuse under F225 at CFR § 483.13 (c)(2), (Abuse).
The tool was developed jointly by Aging Services of Minnesota, Care Providers of Minnesota, the Minnesota Department of Health, the Minnesota Directors of Nursing Association and the Minnesota Office of Ombudsman for Long Term Care.
This tool is optional. If used, this tool is to be used in conjunction with applicable Federal Nursing Home regulations. Alleged incidents may also be reportable as mistreatment, neglect, injury of unknown source or misappropriation of resident property.
