Minnesota Cardiovascular Health Alliance
The mission of the Minnesota Cardiovascular Health Alliance is to improve the cardiovascular health of Minnesotans.
The purpose of the Minnesota Cardiovascular Health Alliance is to share experience and perspectives, and coordinate collective action to support the mission.
The Minnesota Department of Health convenes the Minnesota Cardiovascular Health Alliance, a voluntary organization of cardiovascular health professionals and community members. The Alliance was formed out of the restructured Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention Steering Committee, which sunset in 2016.
Working groups and planning committees
The Alliance will also form working groups and planning committees that meet on an as-needed basis. The members will determine meeting dates and time commitments to meet the needs of the project.
- The Nominating Committee will meet to recommend filling membership gaps of expertise.
- Meeting Work Group will plan future meetings.
The membership may decide a Cardiovascular Health Conference Planning Committee is needed.
Members of the Alliance have the opportunity to promote the mission, attend and participate in quarterly meetings, volunteer to host/lead a meeting or workgroup, make connections and recruit participants to attend the CVH Networking Conference.
Alliance members represent cardiovascular health professionals and community members from across the field and throughout Minnesota.
The Alliance meets quarterly and may include a CVH Networking Conference funded by members. Meeting networking/information sharing topics are chosen by members prior to the 1st quarterly meeting. Guests welcome to any meeting/event.
