Sage Screening Program's recommendations for follow-up of abnormal screening results. The Medical Advisory Group of the Sage screening program recommends providers of Sage screening services use the following guidelines to manage Sage patients with abnormal screening results:

For follow-up of breast abnormalities the Institute of Clinical Systems Improvement (ICSI) has established the Diagnosis of Breast Disease (PDF 46 pages/1.83Mb) for algorithms of care and the complete supporting documentation for breast abnormalities both on clinical breast exam and imaging of the breast. For follow-up of cervical abnormalities the American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (ASCCP) has established the 2006 Consensus Guidelines for the Management of Women with Abnormal Cervical Cancer Screening Tests and the Management of Women with Cervical Intraepithelial Neoplasia or Adenocarcinoma in situ.
