Minnesota Asthma Coalition
http://www.ltbt.org/mnasthma/
The Minnesota Asthma Coalition (MAC) was created through collaboration between the Minnesota Department of Health and the American Lung Association of Minnesota. The MAC brings together individuals and groups to work on asthma in a collaborative approach by promoting awareness, prevention and culturally sensitive education, ensuring access to state-of-the-art-care, and providing monitoring, analysis, and dissemination of information. A network of seven regional asthma coalitions has been set-up across Minnesota, to provide support for local asthma awareness and prevention efforts throughout the state. You can contact your region's MAC by going to the link and choosing the region where you live.

Asthma is the most common chronic childhood disease, affecting more than five million school-aged children. It is the reason 10 million school days are missed each year and thereby can have significant negative impacts on academic performance. It is critical for school leaders to be proactive and implement policies and practices that will keep children with asthma in school and learning. This is why AASA—the oldest and largest membership organization for school superintendents—has undertaken an effort to reduce the burden of asthma among children and youth. This ambitious five-year effort is funded by the Division of Adolescent and School Health (DASH) of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
