Asthma Friendly Schools Mini-Grant Program
C: Partnerships and Building Awareness
School health staff will partner with at least two health care professionals serving their community (such as local public health, clinics, local pharmacies, non-profit organizations etc.) to organize and hold an asthma educational event. The event should be incorporated into an already existing school or community event (back-to-school orientation, community or school festivals or celebrations, parent/teacher conferences, etc.) to increase asthma knowledge for students and their families and strengthen local partnerships.
- Plan and conduct an event and/or activity with at least two or more community partners to increase knowledge and awareness about asthma. This event or activity must be combined with an existing school event such as back-to-school orientation, community or school festivals or celebrations, parent/teacher conferences.
