The Minnesota Department of Health Center for Occupational Health
and Safety programs focus on reducing preventable workplace injuries
and illnesses among Minnesotas working population. The mission
of the MDH Center for Occupational Health and Safety, is to work
cooperatively with a variety of groups including organized labor,
workers, business, schools, and government to improve worker safety
and health.
Center activities include efforts to:
- determine the nature and causes of work-related injury and illness;
- evaluate work-related hazards;
- develop, implement and evaluate worker health and safety programs;
- serve as a community resource for issues related to worker health
and safety;
- include small business and minority populations in all services
and activities.
