Center for Health Promotion

We promote, encourage and support healthy and safe communities. We work to build capacity for individual, community and system change to improve health and prevent injury and chronic disease.

Asthma Program

Information and resources related to respiratory diseases.

Diabetes Unit

We work across communities statewide to strengthen their ability to prevent type 2 diabetes and manage all types of diabetes.

Cardiovascular Health Unit

We work to improve cardiovascular health and reduce the burden of heart disease and stroke for all people living in Minnesota.

Injury & Violence Prevention

Supporting comprehensive programs that help reduce the risk of injury and violence with a staff that includes epidemiologists, research scientists, programmers, and prevention specialists.

Oral Health Program

Working to reduce the prevalence and impact of oral disease, enhance oral health care access and addresses oral health disparities in Minnesota through assessment, policy development and assurance.

Sexual Violence Prevention

Informing individuals, communities, providers, coalitions, organizations, policy and legislation about this major public health issue that results in long-term social and economic costs.
