
Produce for Better Health is a non-profit consumer education foundation with a mission of increasing fruit and vegetable consumption. PBH is chair of the National Fruit and Vegetable Program which is made up of government agencies, industry, and non-profit organizations.
In 1991 The National Cancer Institute and the Produce for Better Health Foundation collaborated to create the 5 A Day for Better Health Program.
In March of 2007 Produce for Better Health and the Center for disease Control unveiled Fruits & Veggies-More Matters to replace the 5 a Day Program.
