Preparing For Data Collection
The following steps will be useful as you prepare to gather your data:- Decide how the information will be collected: survey, records and
documents, telephone interview, personal interview, observation.
- Determine who will collect the data.
- Plan and administer a pilot test.
- Review the results of the pilot test to refine the data collection instrument or the collection procedures.
- Determine who will be included in the evaluation-for example, all program participants or a random sample of participants.
- Conduct the data collection.
