About the Tobacco Prevention and Control Program

What we do

The mission of the Program is to improve the health of Minnesotans by promoting the reduction of tobacco use. The Program works on:

  • preventing tobacco use by young people
  • eliminating exposure to secondhand smoke
  • promoting quitting
  • eliminate disparities among populations at higher risk of tobacco use
