Minnesota Biomonitoring Program

The Minnesota Biomonitoring Program was established by the Minnesota Legislature in 2007. The Program conducts biomonitoring projects and has established a Framework for an Ongoing Biomonitoring Program.

About the Program
Minnesota Statute 144.998 (Minnesota Statutes) established the MN Biomonitoring Program. Program activities are guided by the Commissioner of Health and an expert Advisory Panel, and are conducted in coordination with the MN Environmental Public Health Tracking Program. Partners include the MDH Public Health Laboratory and CDC National Biomonitoring Program. All biomonitoring projects use voluntary participation with informed consent per Minnesota Statute.
