About the Center for Health Informatics
Vision:
Our vision is to foster collaboration, innovation and action that will advance our individual and organizational ability to strategically apply and manage information systems in Minnesota and to use informatics as a means to improve clinical and public health practice, as well as to improve the health & health care for all Minnesotans.
Mission:
Our mission is to use informatics as a means to improve clinical and public health practice in Minnesota. We will do this by educating stakeholders, informing providers, guiding policy makers, and supporting health informatics initiatives on appropriate use of public health information systems in an effort to improve the health and health care for all Minnesotans.
Using Informatics to Improve Practice:
The Center for Health Informatics is dedicated to supporting health care in order to more effectively improve the health of individuals and communities in Minnesota.

Informatics implies a disciplined approach to information systems design and use that drives improvements in public health practice.
