OCAP Disciplinary Actions
The Department of Health’s Office of Unlicensed Complementary and Alternative Health Care Practice (OCAP) will suspend operations effective the end of August 2009. This is due to recent budget reductions at the department required by unallotment. Suspension of the office will continue through the 2010-11 biennium. It is unknown whether the office will resume its work after the biennium.
Public disciplinary action has been taken against the following practitioners:
- Alexander, David Nucleo (Massage therapy, effective September 2006; complete boundaries training, civil penalty)
- Aupperle, Troy (Blood cell analysis, effective May 2005; cease and desist practice, civil penalty)
- Biggs, Tonya (Massage therapy, effective March 2005; five-year suspension, civil penalty)
- Brown, Jason Ross (Massage therapy, effective May 2007; revoked)
- Bunce, Howard (Massage therapy, effective June 2005; revoked)
- Gruman, William Kirk (Massage therapy, effective August 2006; revoked)
- Hughes-Hawkes, Kristi (Naturopathy, effective June 2005; complete boundaries course, provide data on medical devices used in practice, provide data about client referrals quarterly to the Department for one year, civil penalty; March 2006; cease using medical devices restricted by federal law)
- Hillesland, Roland D. (Healing, effective May 2007; revoked)
- Imdieke, Deborah (Massage therapy, effective December 2005; revoked)
- Johns, Machaga (Massage therapy, effective February 2005; revoked)
- Johnson, Harold (Naturopathy, effective May 2005; cease taking blood, cease using the title Dr., comply with bill of rights requirements, civil penalty; February 2006; revoked)
- Magee, James Irving (Massage therapy, effective October 2006; complete boundaries training, civil penalty.)
- Reiling, Devrie Bryce (Massage therapy, effective May 2008; revoked, civil penalty, refund to client)
