Effective July 1, 2005, the administration of the Office
of Unlicensed Mental Health Practice (OMHP) transferred from the Minnesota Department of
Health to the State Mental Health Licensing Boards and located in the Minnesota Board of Social Work.
This transfer included a sunset provision by which OMHP automatically discontinued on June 30, 2009 unless further action was taken by the Legislature. Since July 1, 2005, the Legislature took no further action regarding OMHP. Therefore, OMHP no longer exits.
