Human Anaplasmosis - Minnesota Dept. of Health

Human Anaplasmosis (HA)

Human anaplasmosis (HA) was formerly called granulocytic ehrlichiosis (HGE).  It is the second-most common tickborne disease in Minnesota after Lyme disease.

Human anaplasmosis is a bacterial disease transmitted to humans by Ixodes scapularis (blacklegged tick or deer tick), the same tick that transmits Lyme disease.
