Reporting Clostridium Difficile
C. difficile infection is not reportable under the Minnesota Communicable Diseases Reporting Rule.
Reporting for population-based surveillance:
- As part of a population-based surveillance project, healthcare providers and laboratories in select counties (Benton, Morrison, Stearns, and Todd) are requested to report all confirmed or suspected cases of C. difficile to the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH).
- Yellow Card
The MDH "Yellow Card" (previously known as the "blue card")can be used to report confirmed or suspected cases of C. difficile in Minnesota residents to the Minnesota Department of Health.
