The Minnesota Department of Health leads the human health aspects of pandemic
planning for the state. Right now, MDH is monitoring for unusual flu strains
in Minnesota that could become the next influenza pandemic, as well as helping people prepare
for a pandemic. During a pandemic, MDH has strategies to slow
the spread of the disease as well as to protect the health of
all Minnesotans.

Plans
MDH
Pandemic Influenza Plan
The entire plan: This Support Annex to the MDH All-Hazards Response and Recovery Plan gives details of MDH's activities during and in preparation of an influenza pandemic. There are three parts to the plan: the base plan, technical sections covering 11 areas, and additional attachments. Like all working plans, this one is a living document, and will continue to evolve. Note: The version posted here is the current approved plan- Version 2.5, April, 2006.
Use of Non-pharmaceutical Interventions in a Pandemic This is a supplement to the MDH Pandemic Influenza Plan. It gives operational details of MDH's non-pharmaceutical intervention activities during a pandemic influenza outbreak. This is an interim plan and will be updated and revised as needed.
