Reporting Perinatal Hepatitis B
Hepatitis B is a reportable disease. In order to prevent perinatal transmission of hepatitis B to newborns, all cases of HBsAg-positive pregnant women must be reported to the Minnesota Department of Health. Cases can be reported by completing the appropriate form below and faxing it to 651-201-5502. Clinics should report HBsAg-positive pregnant women within one working day of the knowledge of the pregnancy.

Hospitals should report infants born to HBsAg-positive women within 24 hours of birth.
